Refund Policy

Because design work begins promptly once a project is engaged, our refund policy reflects the time and resources invested from the moment you retain our services. Please read this policy carefully before submitting payment.

1. Full Refund Window — 3 Business Days

If you request a cancellation within three (3) business days of your retainer or initial payment and no design work has begun, you are entitled to a full refund of any amount paid. To request a cancellation within this window, contact us in writing at info@desertsagedrafting.com.

2. Partial Refunds After Work Has Begun

After three (3) business days, or once design work has begun — whichever comes first — your payment will be reduced by a fee of $75.00 per hour for all time spent on your project to the date of cancellation request. Any remaining balance after the hourly deduction will be refunded.

We will provide an itemized accounting of hours worked upon request. Hours include, but are not limited to, project review, research, site plan analysis, initial design drafting, client communication, and revision work.

3. Completed and Delivered Work

No refund will be issued for any work that has been completed and delivered to the client. Once design files, drawings, or plan sets have been provided in any format (PDF, DWG, printed, or otherwise), that work is considered delivered and non-refundable, regardless of whether you proceed with construction or permitting.

4. Flat-Fee Projects (Kitchen, Bath, Remodel)

For flat-fee projects such as kitchen design, bathroom design, or remodel plans:

• Full refund if cancelled within 3 business days of payment and before work begins
• After work begins: refund of the flat fee minus $75.00 per hour for time invested
• Once the initial design has been delivered: no refund

5. Custom Home Projects

For custom home design projects:

• Full refund if cancelled within 3 business days of retainer payment and before design work begins
• After design work begins: retainer reduced by $75.00 per hour for all time invested; any balance refunded
• Once permit-ready construction drawings have been delivered in full: no refund
• If a project is cancelled mid-process, the client receives all drawings completed to the point of cancellation

6. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

• Delivered digital or printed plan sets and drawing files
• Third-party fees paid on your behalf (engineering, permit submissions, courier, printing)
• Fees associated with add-on services (3D renderings, cabinet elevations) once the add-on work has been completed

7. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card provider without first contacting Desert Sage Drafting to resolve the issue is a violation of this agreement. We reserve the right to respond to chargebacks with documentation of services rendered and to pursue recovery of chargeback fees and any amounts owed.

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of cancellation confirmation. Refunds are issued via the original payment method. Processing time may vary depending on your bank or card issuer.
